Soroptimist International - Ashland celebrates our 70th Anniversary with a banner over Main Street. We stand on the shoulders of many active, strong, community-minded women who have been improving the lives of women and girls in Ashland and around the world.
A year in the life of Soroptimist International - Ashland: SUMMER: We rent pillows and blankets at the OSF Festival's outdoor Elizabethan Theatre, earning money with which we do service, improving the lives of women and girls. FALL: We scout out how our money can be best spent, including looking for women to give awards & scholarships to or to honor for their service. WINTER: We deliberate over our choices for awards. SPRING: We make our awards, honoring our recipients with a luncheon in May.
And then we do it all over again.
