Meet your Culinary Specialist Eic Villegas
He will be showing us how to fix great dishes
and treats and entertain us at the same time!!
Eric is incredibly grateful for the many experiences he has gained through the Taste of Home Cooking School.
"I enjoy meeting so many enthusiastic fans of Taste of Home. They inspire me with their love of cooking and support for our program.I also really enjoy the cameraderie that is built working with the local volunteers in putting together the big show"
Eric gained a love for cooking as a child and teenager cooking with his parents and learning some of the less common tricks from his grandmother's Bolivian cuisine. He studied liberal arts at Michigan State University, then moved to France, where he attended Anne Willan's LaVarenne Ecole de Cuisine and Steven Spurrier's Academie du Vin.
After two years abroad, Eric returned tothe U.S. and continued his studies at the New England Cilinary Institute. His long and successful carrer includes opening two restaurants, writing two cookbooks and earning two regional EMMY awards for his popular TV show, "Fork in the Road with Eric Villegas"....but he still loves simple fried chicken and potato chips!
He loves finding new dishes and local favorites in every state he visits.
Culinary Specialist Eric will show step-by-step instructions on how to create satisfying and flavorful dishes
There will also be valuable gift bags, many fantastic door prizes, lots of free samples and fun for everyone.
